CNN has an article on the conservative backlash against John McCain, with this zinger from Michelle Malkin standing out:

Yes, and the anger at the political establishment is finally spilling over with the angry voter at the McCain rally in Wisconsin saying he is more angry about the government moving toward socialism than he is about the economic crisis.

The socialist takeover that McCain and the GOP are proposing is actually worse than anything the Democrats have proposed. At least Obama, Barbara Boxer and other Democrats that supported a bailout were talking about oversight and taxpayer protections. The Republican Party, with the exception of guys like Ron Paul and B.J. Lawson, is becoming a nightmare party.
